2041. A legacy programme since 1991.
Solutions by ClimateForce since 2019.
Programme co-creator: Lorena Paglia.
Mirror calm.
Mirror calm.
Nine days. Patagonia to the Ends of the Earth. Five days on the ice, outdoors by day. One subject each evening: on the main stage first, then around the table in your side quest group. Be ready, be rested, bring a journal. Make it an expedition to remember.
Three threads
What the week is built on
Personal Leadership
Who you are when it is hard. What you will do when you get home.
Systems Design
How the pieces fit: science, business, policy, community. Where to push.
Experiential Learning
Learn from the ice, wildlife and history of the last wild continent.
Leadership on the Edge
Main stage, then side quest
One subject a day. The main stage puts it in front of the whole ship. The side quest is where eight small groups work it through.
Main stage, 5pm
One hour, after the outdoor programme. Scheduled speakers, keynote style, then Q&A. Whole ship.
Side quest, 6.30pm
Eight groups of six or seven in the Observation Lounge, a facilitator at each table, the subject of the day. One hour. Your notes come back, summarised, at the end of the expedition.

Day one: eat, sleep, hydrate
No official programme on arrival day. Check in, gear check, rest.
Keep the ship clean
Sanitise your hands before every meal. Hands off your face. Ideally wear a face mask on planes. Reduce your exposure before you travel. Sickness moves quickly once it is on the vessel.
Disconnect to reconnect
Put your devices down and get outside. Bring a journal.
Medication sorted
Bring what you need for the whole trip, in your hand luggage.

Before you go

Your trees
Five trees each, in the Daintree
365 trees, one for every day of the year. Five for every person on this expedition.
In the ground
At the ClimateForce research station, Cape Kimberley, on Eastern Kuku Yalanji Country. A gift from ClimateForce.
Find yours
Every tree is geo-tagged. Look yours up after the expedition.
Both ends of the planet
The ice held in trust, the rainforest grown back. The Daintree drains to the Great Barrier Reef.
Side quests
Eight groups. A new one every day.
The breakout hour. Observation Lounge, 6.30pm, every evening before dinner. Your name is on the plan each day, on the screen and on paper. Find it, find your table.
Albatross
Emperor
Orca
Humpback
Weddell
Krill
Adelie
Leopard
Everyone moves
A new group every day, so you meet everyone. The facilitator for each group is allocated in advance and named on the plan.
The hour only
Your group is for the side quest hour only. The outdoor programme and meals are not by group.
Same subject on every table
Every table works the day's subject. Your notes come back, summarised, at the end of the expedition.
Five simple, trackable commitments
What you leave with. Five things you will do, simple enough to do and clear enough to track: one month, six months, one year. Your facilitator writes them down. They come back to you after we land.
The four subjects
One a day
Each one picks up the main stage before it.
26 Nov
What can we do as individuals?
Me, my family, my home. One thing each of us will do when we get back.
27 Nov
What can we do as business leaders?
Your company, your industry. What moves, what is in the way, who decides.
28 Nov
Effective advocacy: finding the middle ground
Talking to people who do not agree with us. The words that work, and the ones that do not.
29 Nov
Activation: returning home with real impact
Who does what, by when. Written down, and taken home.
Examples from past expeditions

On time, every time
The ship, the zodiacs and the programme run to the clock.
Your safety first
Nothing on this expedition is worth an injury.
Respect the place
Five metres from wildlife. Take nothing, leave nothing.

Plans change. That is Antarctica, not a problem.
Listen to your leadership team
Jumper and the expedition team have the final word.
By endurance we conquer.
